Cemetery Board

 
In compliance with KRS Chapter 67, the Whitley County Cemetery Board was established by Ordinance No. 2008-08 on December 16, 2008, by the Whitley County Fiscal Court.

With concern about the condition of the many cemeteries within Whitley County's borders that have fallen into neglect and disrepair, the Whitley County Cemetery Board was established to preserve and maintain these gravesites and cemeteries. The Board will have the authority to act to restore and/or maintain nonprofit cemeteries that do not receive perpetual care funds pursuant to KRS 367.952.

The Whitley County Cemetery Board consists of five (5) volunteer members appointed by the Whitley County Judge/Executive and approved by the Whitley County Fiscal Court.

The Whitley County Cemetery Board consists of the following volunteer members:

Roy Siler - Chairman
Donna Rains - Secretary
Brenda Meadors - Member
Leonard Faulkner - Member
Jay Moses - Member
